Chasing Waterfalls at Inglis Falls- Owen Sound
There is something so rewarding about discovering a waterfall after a long hike. Like enjoying desert after a delicious meal. We started our hike off at Harrison Park and after a steep incline we walked through open fields, ancient forests and scrambled down steep rocky slopes to eventually arrive at the base of Inglis Falls - A beautiful cascade waterfall. While walking through Harrison Park milkweed lined the path because we were on the monarch migration route. It takes the monarch's 4 generations to complete their annual journey of travelling from Canada and the U.S to Mexico for the winter, and then back again. Eventually we left the park and entered the Bruce Trail where we travelled over and along the Sydenham River and through mature, protected forests filled with pine and cedar trees, some as old as 600 years! Once you arrive at Inglis Falls you can enjoy the view the falls from the lookout viewing platforms or for the more adventurous at heart, follow the Bruce Tra
